Lauramine Oxide is a mild amphoteric surfactant widely used in cosmetic and personal care products. It is derived from fatty amines (mainly obtained from coconut or palm kernel oil) that are oxidized to produce a molecule that is both hydrophilic and lipophilic, allowing it to stabilize mixtures of water and oils.

It is a co-surfactant often combined with anionic surfactants (such as Sodium Laureth Sulfate) to enhance foam, skin mildness, and formula stability.
